Saints Removals Eastbourne (“Saints”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information handled through removalseastbourne.co.uk and direct enquiries to the business.
Saints is a service-area business. Customers do not visit Cator House and we do not publish a home or customer-facing address. For privacy questions, email Info@removalseastbourne.co.uk or telephone 07471 426776.
Information we collect
- Your name, email address and telephone number.
- Information in an enquiry, such as proposed dates, collection and destination areas, property or access details and your message.
- Messages, attachments and contact details you send by email, telephone or WhatsApp.
- Technical information in website, server or security logs, such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, errors and possible security events.
- Website-use information collected through Google Analytics when that service is enabled with the appropriate controls.
- Public review information displayed through the Trustindex/Google reviews widget, such as a public name, profile image, rating and review text.
Please do not send identity documents, payment-card details or sensitive personal information through the general enquiry form or WhatsApp unless we specifically ask for it and provide an appropriate way to send it.
How we collect information
- Directly from you when you submit a website form, email, telephone or message us.
- Automatically through website hosting and security systems.
- Through Google Analytics and Site Kit when analytics is enabled, subject to applicable cookie or storage controls.
- From public Google review listings through the Trustindex review widget.
Our enquiry form is built with Ninja Forms. When its Record Submission action is enabled, entries are stored in this website’s WordPress database and may also be sent to us by email. Ninja Forms states that the plugin itself does not send submissions to Ninja Forms’ servers unless a separate external integration has been configured.
Why we use your information
- Enquiries and requested quotations: to take steps at your request before a possible contract, or our legitimate interest in answering genuine enquiries.
- Pre-launch interest: our legitimate interest in understanding demand, following up on a move you asked us about and preparing an appropriate service. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking.
- Services after launch: to perform a contract with you.
- Website operation, security and fraud prevention: our legitimate interests in maintaining a reliable website and protecting visitors and the business.
- Website analytics: consent where non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used.
- Public reviews: our legitimate interest in showing genuine public customer feedback, with consent or another applicable PECR exception if a widget stores or accesses non-essential information on your device.
- Records, complaints and legal claims: our legitimate interests and any applicable legal obligations.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We will not use enquiry details for unrelated electronic marketing unless there is a valid route under UK data protection law and PECR, including consent where required.
Google Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics may be installed through Site Kit by Google. When enabled, it can use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits, page views, events, referrers, device and browser details and approximate area information.
Where consent is required, non-essential analytics should not activate until you choose to allow it. Refusing analytics should not prevent you using the main website or submitting an enquiry. Google says it does not log or store individual IP addresses collected from UK users in Google Analytics, although IP information may be used briefly to derive coarse location before it is discarded. Read Google’s Privacy Policy.
Trustindex and Google reviews
The website may use Trustindex to display reviews originating from Google. Loading the widget may allow Trustindex or Google to receive technical connection information from your browser. Public review information may be copied or cached so the widget can display it.
Trustindex and Google process information under their own terms. To change or remove a review at its original source, use Google’s controls. You may also contact us about a review displayed here. Read the Trustindex Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.
The website does not currently load a WhatsApp contact widget. If you independently choose to contact our published telephone number through WhatsApp, WhatsApp may process your telephone number, profile information, device and connection information and message metadata under its own privacy policy. We receive the content and contact details you choose to send and use them to respond to your enquiry. You can use email or telephone instead. Read the WhatsApp UK Privacy Policy.
Who receives information
- People authorised to administer the website or handle Saints enquiries.
- Our website hosting, maintenance, security, backup and email providers.
- Google in connection with Analytics, Site Kit and public Google reviews.
- Trustindex in connection with the reviews widget.
- WhatsApp and Meta when you choose to contact us through WhatsApp.
- Professional advisers, insurers, regulators, courts or public authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.
A provider may act as our processor or as a separate controller under its own privacy terms. We do not sell personal information.
International processing
Some technology providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK, including by Google or WhatsApp/Meta in the United States and other countries. Trustindex is based in Hungary in the EEA. Where we are responsible for a restricted transfer, we use an applicable UK adequacy regulation or appropriate contractual safeguard available under the provider’s terms, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, as relevant.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the reason it was collected. We consider whether an enquiry remains active, whether a quotation or service relationship develops, legal and insurance record-keeping needs, complaints or claims, website security needs and the normal overwrite cycles of hosting, email and backup systems.
Form entries may exist in the WordPress database, corresponding emails and temporary backups. Enquiries with no continuing business or legal purpose will be deleted or anonymised during periodic reviews. Backup copies may remain until overwritten through their normal cycle. Analytics information is retained according to the site’s Google Analytics configuration and Google’s terms. Public reviews may remain visible while the original platform makes them available.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps appropriate to the information we handle. No website, email or messaging service can guarantee complete security.
Your rights
Subject to the circumstances and legal exemptions, you may ask for a copy of your information, correction, deletion, restriction, object to legitimate-interest processing, request portability where applicable, or withdraw consent. We do not use personal information for solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
To exercise a right, email Info@removalseastbourne.co.uk or call 07471 426776. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can investigate. Use the email subject “Data protection complaint”. If you remain dissatisfied, you may complain through the Information Commissioner’s Office data protection complaints service or call 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, business or service providers change. The latest version and update date will be published on this page.
